To the fans of superheroes, the name of Doom Patrol Season is a common one. The two seasons of the television series so far have become massively popular. Doom Patrol is an American web television series.
The series has been developed by Jeremy Carver for DC Universe. The series is based on the DC Comics superhero team of the same name. Recently the second season of the series was out. However, it was not aired the way it was originally planned by the creators and changes had to be made.
Doom Patrol Season 2 Finale What Happened?
The second season of Doom Patrol was supposed to have 10 episodes. However, fans could see only 9 episodes. This is because the finale had to be shifted a bit forward. Why? It was done because of the global pandemic situation. Facing shutdown, the cast and crew-members decided to advance the finale so as to give the fans a sense of closure within 9 episodes itself, as against the 10 episodes that were originally planned.
Executive producer Jeremy Carver has said to TV Line, “We knew we were facing a potential shutdown, so we were able to do a bit of a pivot and make sure that Episode 9 would be just as satisfying of a conclusion to the season as if we had moved on to Episode 10,”
In the finale of the second season of Doom Patrol, we see our group of superheroes confronting the Candlemaker (played by Lex Lang) at the carnival. However, the villain quickly exploited their childhood traumas and they ended up fighting against versions of their own imaginary friends.
At the end of the episode, we see Dorothy Spinner (played by Abigail Shapiro) about to take on the monstrous Candlemaker in a battle. This happens while the rest of the gang were encased in wax.
