Doctor Who Season 13 Release Date on BBC and What is new in the next season

Doctor Who show came to an end this week, with the second half of the 12th season marking the finale of the era. But fans have been querying whether there will be next season?

Viewers were down to see the 12th series of Doctor Who starring Jodie Whittaker and her friends come to an end.

The final episode of the series was named The Timeless Children and featured associates Yaz (Mandip Gill) and Ryan (Tosin Cole).

All details on the next chapter of BBC series:

You will be pleased to know the show is likely to return for a 13th time with Jodie Whittaker back on screen. Show boss Chris Chibnall hinted the seeds would be sown for the 13th season in the final moments of the 12th series.

The new plot shall emerge during the ultimate fight with the Cybermen and Chibnall with more exciting things to happen. Chris said to entertainment weekly: “I do know I’m coming back for a third season.

We are already planning the stories. Once you see the end of this show, you’ll realize there are few stories we’re already set in train for the next series. Whittaker was also prompt to announce her return in a 13th series, saying she adores performing the lead role.

She told in a Radio Times interview: “That might be a massive exclusive that I’m not supposed to tell, but it’s unhelpful for me to say because it would be a massive lie! I adore it.

“At some point, these shoes are going to be handed on, but it’s not the time yet. I’m clinging on tight.” The audience would certainly welcome her with open arms to screens.

The question that lingers on our minds is whether associates Yaz and Ryan will be rejoining the cast.

In one of the episodes in the 12th season, Ryan asks Yaz whether their time with the Doctor should end.
