The political drama designated survivor has certainly been one that has had its fans biting their nails with every tumultuous trip and turns of the sequence. Fans were relieved when the show was picked up for a third season by Netflix after it had been dropped by the first network ABC, today they could follow the sudden presidency of Thomas Kirkman and his endeavor to unravel the fateful puzzle that led to him being at the most effective officials in the world.

Unfortunately, Netflix has canceled the series after 3 seasons. This happens mostly because of disputes that happened while the show jumped ship from the initial network to Netflix. There was a period of limbo between ABC canceling the show along with Netflix getting it for the third season, during which most of the actors that were on the show had already signed other contracts. This leads to a tough filming period despite the creative liberty Netflix provided the showrunners. Ultimately it was not a suitable enterprise for Netflix to embark on considering higher salary requirements from the celebrities. This dispute ultimately has led to the series being canceled.
Nevertheless, Netflix has confirmed that they will still have the right to get the first three seasons of the series. It is unclear as of now if Netflix plans to rebirth or reboot the show later on. Lead actor Kiefer Sutherland shared a video in which he thanked the fans for his support and his crew members within the fond memories they made filming the three seasons.

The story of the show is about a man named Thomas Kirkman who survived the explosion that happened in the Capital construction of the state of the marriage. The President and everyone below him got killed in the burst leaving Thomas. Thomas was the Secretary of housing and urban development. So with no option, Thomas was delegated as the President.
