As with so much else right now, this will be a difficult question to answer to the fans out there. We will not be able to guess when the series will air until the restrictions have been lifted.

And the lockdown will have an effect not just on the shooting schedule for Brooklyn Nine-Nine airing, it will have an impact on the plot- the show’s set in one of the worst-hit areas in the world, New York.

So, do not expect that your favourite comedy show to suddenly turn into a harrowing documentary. And there is plenty of comic potential to be minted from the other major plot element that will be explored in the eighth season.

The Plot: you can expect Jake and Amy’s baby to play a big role in season eight’s shenanigans. “We’re very conscious, similarly to when we coupled them up, that this is a workplace show,” Goor said.

“While we like doing comedy about them as a romantic item, or as a married couple, or [now] as parents, we primarily do comedy about them working together.”

“Hopefully we’ll be able to strike a similar balance, and I think we’ll be conscious of the fact that they have a kid.”

He added: “I think it’s an interesting element to have both Jake and Amy be working people who have to figure out how to balance the career they love with being good parents, which is what they want to be.”

Daaaaaw, we can’t wait.
