Will the eighth time be lucky for Brooklyn Nine-Nine detective Michael Hitchcock? In Thursday’s episode, Scully’s BFF thinks that he’s finally met his equal.
Here’s the exclusive look.
Season 7’s sixth episode kicks off at Hitchcock’s divorce gathering.
It’s there, of all places, that he meets inherent wife No. 8 and she just so happens to tick off all of his boxes: “She’s funny, she’s beautiful, she has almost no scars,” he tells in the video shared.
There’s just one obstacle: The mystery woman wrote her cellphone number down on a napkin that Hitchcock had destroyed.
Now all he’s left with is nothing but the memory of a magical night.
“The Hitchcock story is a fairytale,” show’s co-creator Dan Goor tells on TVLine. “It’s a tale as old as time: A mandates a woman loses her cellphone number, and has only himself with her tooth.
It’s a tale we’ve always wanted to tell, and we finally get to tell it.” In the sneak glimpse, Scully cheers Hitchcock to not give up hope.
Finding her, he says, won’t be so hard. “We just have to try placing that tooth into the mouth of every woman in New York City until we find the matching gum hole of your one true love,” he says. (It’s real easy)
While Hitchcock seeks for his soulmate, Jake and Amy work on an uncrackable case, and Holt sets to a new beat in the wake of Debbie’s arrest.
The episode was directed by female director Kim Nguyen. The Female Forward is an NBC drive for female directors that aims to attain gender parity among scripted show directors.
