Marvel Studios dropped their two minutes long trailer of Scarlett Johannson’s long-due solo adventure of Black Widow. The clip of the movie introduces us to the primary cast of characters – most of which we haven’t met yet such as David Harbour’s Alexi Shoskatov/Red Guardian, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, and Rachel Weisz’s Melina. But it is safe to say that as the flick deals with Natasha Romanoff’s old life, the movie will tackle several different times in her life.
The ending of Avengers: EndGame showed the tragic end of the character, but it is to believe that the story of the story will take place between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. Although there are assumptions that story can even revolve back and forth on the life of her before being introduced in the series.
There are a couple of other shots that indicate that the film will tackle a few more different periods, including an actual flashback of Yelena training under the Red Room program. It showed few scenes from The Avengers and even from Avengers: Age of Ultron. There are scenes where Thunderbolt Ross (William Hurt) looks younger compared to other parts which again indicated the movie showing different timelines.
The pre scenes in the trailer indicated that the MCU world now has more to show and continue the series, and it has a lot of shows about Nat’s life before joining MCU. There can be more about solo missions which could be in resemblance to the parts in other movies.
Even after knowing the fate of Black Widow in Avengers: EndGame it’s quite unusual for fans to get such a throwback story of the character because that will not have any suspense to it. The main motive seems to give her a proper screen space which was not provided in the other movies; hopefully fans will relate to the scenario.
