Episode 4 of the fifth season “Namaste”, sets up a new scheme with Jimmy McGill and Kim Wexler, but this one carries far greater risk.
The fifth season of Better Call Saul sets up a new con from Jimmy and Kim, but this time there are some bigger problems for the pair.
Across the course of the series, Kim has increasingly been drawn into Jimmy’s way of thinking like a lawyer. While Kim tries to play everything by the book, she’s come to realize that on occasion you have got to bend the rules a little to get the justice you seek.
So far, the pair have teamed up on a few different jobs in the series, both in and out of the courtroom. The pair swindled Ken Wins, a stockbroker, into buying them expensive shots of tequila; Jimmy pretended to be from the District Attorney’s office so that one of Kim’s clients would take the deal she’d secured rather than going to trial.
In episode 4 of the fifth season, Kim remains frustrated in her efforts to find justice for Mr. Acker, who Mesa Verde wants to displace from his home so that they can build their call center on the land.
Then, Kim turns to Jimmy. He goes to Mr. Acker’s and then gets hired as his lawyer, promising that he can help stick it to Mesa Verde and ensures that he gets to keep his home.
It will be a win-win situation for both parties: Kim gets to fight for what she believes is right, but actually cannot do it herself; Jimmy helps Kim out, and secures himself a new client against a high profile firm.
Well, this is it, guys. Let us hope the best for the entire team and wish them luck.
