Andy Clement Serkis is an English actor and also a film director. He is also known for his best performance capture roles which comprise motion capture acting, animation and even voice work for such computer-generated work.
Recently, the news has come up that Andy Serkis is in talks to play the character of Alfred Pennyworth in Matt Reeves’ “The Batman”, an individual with the knowledge of the project exclusively told The Wrap. We all know that “The Batman” is an upcoming movie starring Robert Pattinson who is all set to star as the Dark Knight. Reeves receives the directing gig after Ben Affleck stepped aside from the role of Batman.
Ben Affleck was also expected to play Batman’s character once again, but then he said that he would be hanging up the cape for good. Matt Reeves has since described the movie as a defining and personal story about the Dark Knight rather than an origin story in the vein of Frank Miller’s beloved “Year One” series.
Since Andy Clement Serkis will be joining the cast, there will be more people as well. Here are some of the people who also join the cast: Zoe Kravitz who has been cast as Catwoman and Paul Dano who has been cast as Edward Nashton also known as the Riddler. In the recent adaptations, some of the actors like William Austin, Michael Gough, Michael Caine, and Jeremy Irons have played the character of Bruce Wayne’s loyal butler, the legal guardian or let’s say his best friend.
Matt Reeves’ credits include the last two “Planet of The Apes” movies. Serkis had played the character of Caesar for Reeves in the Planet of the Apes trilogy. The Batman movie will be released on June 25, 2021. Since Serkis have joined the cast, the film will bring a whole new excitement for the DC fans.
