The 32-year-old forced her upstairs, holding her by her hair, smashed her head against a wall, and kicked her in the abdomen.

He pleaded guilty to general assault and for the warnings to kill, however, he evaded jail after the judge’s decision at Newcastle crown court said Simpson felt forcefully held in the relationship.

The victim was left with abdomen cramps and injuring. Thankfully, her baby was uninjured and safe.

Simpson had been in a love with the lady and started dating since January, and by May, she became pregnant.

On August 5, she went home from work around nine pm and found Simpson on the couch with an empty bottle of wine, before he reached out and came back at 1.30 am.

Stuart Graham, prosecuting, said: ‘She saw the convict folded within the door, and he surged forward towards her, grabbed her by the hair and dragged her up the stairs.

‘He dragged her up that flight of stairs, and she was yelling loudly. He kept saying, ‘I hate you, I’m going to kill you, I’m going to kill the baby, you’ve got no idea what I’m capable of, I will kill the baby.”

The victim managed to get away, ran to the room, and phoned the police.

Simpson declared guilty to general assault and threatening to kill and was sentenced to 9 months imprisonment, suspension for eighteen months with a hundred hours unpaid work, and an infinite restraining order.

Sue Hirst, defending, said Simpson had undergone psychological state dilemmas and has since referred himself for guidance.

The court declared he’s not endeavoring contact with the baby.
