Altered carbon is a drama series on Netflix. More than 300 years in the future, society has been transformed by new technology, leading to human bodies being interchangeable and death no longer being permanent.
Takeshi Kovacs is the only surviving soldier of a group of elite interstellar warriors who were defeated in an uprising.
Almost 96 percent of the viewers have liked the show until now. The first episode was released on 2nd Feb 2018. According to Rotten Tomatoes, it has only got 68 percent which is quite low.
Recently a teaser for Altered Carbon season 2 reveals that Anthony Mackie stepping into the roles of Takeshi.
The series/show revolves around a man named Takeshi Kovacs, one of the last surviving member of the Envoys, a rebel group of soldiers, who were ultimately crushed when attempting to take down the new world order.
The first season of Altered Carbon begins 250 years after their defeat. At this time, Kovacs’ stack is uploaded into a new body, Ryker (Joel Kinnaman), to solve a murder for one of the wealthiest men in the universe.
The finale of season 1 of Altered Carbon saw Ryker’s consciousness returned to his original sleeve so he could reunite with his lover.
Kovacs’ sleeve, though, gets transferred, presumably to Mackie.
Season 2 will take place 30 years after the season 1 finale with Kovacs searching for his long lost love, Quellcrist Falconer (Renée Elise Goldsberry).
