Zachary David Alexander Efron is an American actor and singer. He began acting professionally in the early 2000s and rose to prominence in the late 2000s for his leading role as Troy Bolton in the High School Musical franchise.
Recently news had broken out that the 32-year-old actor was rushed to the hospital in Australia after he had suffered from a medical emergency during the filming of his upcoming TV show, Killing Zac Efron. The incident had occurred right before the holidays.
According to the Australia’ Sunday telegraph, the 32-year-old actor allegedly contracted typhoid or some other bacterial infection while he was filming on the island country of Papua new guinea.
The High School Musical alum was airlifted by emergency medical workers to an airport In Brisbane and he was then transported to a private hospital, according to the Australian newspaper.
The actor after receiving treatment and getting back to a normal state again addressed to his fans saying that he was very thankful to everyone who had reached out and he admitted that he got sick during the shoot. He further said that he bounced back and had an amazing 3 weeks in PNG.
It is a big relief for his fans that the actor is in a good state. The actor feels happy that he is back in his home after such a tragedy. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, typhoid can be found in contaminated food or water in New Guinea.
