A Second Woman Dies After Her Loved Ones Are Suspected of Drugging Her During a Night Out in Los Angeles

Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola, a friend of the late model Christy Giles, died only weeks after the two victims’ loved ones feared they had been drugged while out on the town.

Cabrales-Arzola, an interior designer from Mexico who had just relocated to Los Angeles, was hospitalized in severe condition on Nov. 13 after a night out with Giles, 24.

She was taken to a hospital in West Los Angeles hours after Giles’ corpse was discovered at a Culver City hospital.

According to a GoFundMe page put up to aid with bills, Cabrales-Arzola was on life support but was confirmed brain dead on Nov. 28, one day before her 27th birthday.

In L.A. County coroner records, her official death date is stated as Nov. 24.

The fundraiser website said that some of Cabrales-organs Arzola’s will be given “as treasured gifts to those in need.”

The GoFundMe page adds, “She was a warrior and a giver until her very last breath.” “Anyone who knew her would realize that this is exactly what she would want: to assist others in any way she can.” Marcela’s courageous and fierce struggle for life gave us hope and strength, and it will continue to give us hope and strength as we carry her light.”

The monies generated will be used to cover medical expenditures, family travel fees, burial costs, and the cost of returning her remains to Mexico.

Jan Cilliers, Giles’ husband, told KTLA last month that the circumstances surrounding his wife’s death and Cabrales-prior Arzola’s illness were strange.

He thinks the ladies got unconscious at some point during their night out. Although heroin was discovered in his wife’s system, Cilliers said that neither of them would ever use the substance.

Cilliers claims to know who the ladies were with on that particular night. He and Giles’ closest friend claim to have received communications from others who have had unpleasant encounters with the individuals, who have been labeled as predators.

“We’ve all gotten a lot of letters from other ladies who have hauntingly similar situations,” says a GoFundMe page put up for Giles. “The only difference between them and Christy and Hilda is that they lived.”

Aside from burial costs, the monies will be used to investigate both incidents, according to the website.

Giles’ death is still being investigated, according to a Los Angeles Police Department West Bureau Homicide investigator who spoke to KTLA last week.
