Moments ago, Disney launched Disney+, adding the app stores a few hours ahead of schedule. The fans quickly noticed one deleted scene is included on Avengers Endgame that wasn’t available on the home media release. The 13 reasons why star Katherine Langford had seen to have been appeared on the screen.
Langford’s role was cut from the theatrical release, leaving the fans to wonder why this was done. We now know that she was set to play the older version of Tony Stark’s daughter Morgan, a vision he saw after he snapped his version of the Infinity Gaunlet. This would have been the good part if they had shown it on the big screen.
In the scene, it seems that the two of them had an incredibly heart-touching just before the death of Tony Stark. The fans would like to start asking why it was removed from the movie. Katherine Langford is a good actress, and she also has many fans. Her fans could have been surprised if she had been seen in such a movie as Tony’s daughter.
Endgame co-director Joe Russo echoed the sentiment in a separate interview, suggesting that the scene was too complicated for the test audience they showed early cuts of the movie too. He further said that there was an idea that Tony Stark was going to go into the metaphysical way station that Thanos went in when he had snapped his fingers and that there was going to be a future version of Stark’s daughter in that way station.
The scene was supposed to be an emotional one where Tony’s daughter forgave him and gave him the peace to go away. It seems that the idea was felt resonant, but with too many ideas the co-director said. He further said that it was shown to the test audience, but it was confusing them.
