13 Reasons Why is an American teen drama web television series originally developed for Netflix based on the 2007 novel” Thirteen Reasons Why” by Jay Asher.

The first season premiere in March of 2017 and it has been extremely popular and controversial ever since!

The third season of the show premiered in 2019 and caused more controversy than ever owing to its inclusion of a graphic suicide scene in the finale episode.

None the less the fourth season of the show has been officially confirmed by Netflix.

The show inspired by Asher’s book initially centered around Clay Jensen following that death of Hannah Baker, after the premiere of it’s the fourth season will be the drama’s final.

In an interview, Kate Walsh, who plays Hannah Baker’s mother Olivia, agrees that wrapping up 13 Reasons why after season 4 is the right decision.

She said, ” I think it’s a great thing now that we have so many different platforms and ways to view television and films”.

Despite the decision of the show to warp up after the fourth season, it has caused much controversy and concern among the youth owing to some of the mind triggering and gory senses, Hannah’s death at the end of the first season and the graphics suicide scene in the third season to name a few.

Elder members of the audience have shown their concerns as they believe that the show is affecting the teenager’s lives in a very negative way, thus we believe this might be a contributing factor that might have made the creators of the show to warp up after the fourth season.
